Known for our long, but spectacularly- beautiful white winters, we're renowned worldwide for our awesome autumns. That's when Mother Nature runs her show of color with new visual treats each year. Each October thousands of people come to The Green Mountains to see what we're most famous for our colored leaves in vivid shades of red, orange, gold, yellow and every shade in between. Fall foliage is a brief part of autumn, the season usually lasts until about Thanksgiving.
In our splendid summers the landscape is lush and green. Residents live outdoors as much as possible. Backyard barbecues, picnics, swimming-along with outdoor concerts, farmer's markets, and golf-are the norm. Our spring seasons are usually short, but very welcome. As the snow melts and the trees bud we know Mother Nature has come full circle and we get ready to enjoy all the season has to offer.
