Vermont Arts Exchange Winter Basement Music Series - January - May


The plan is to present once a month, high quality music that is culturally diverse. In moving to the Masonic Hall in Bennington, we have brought along the same ingredients to create the vibe and listening room you've come to love. We hope you enjoy yourselves and spread the word!


Hemmings Cruse-Ins - May through August


Hemmings Cruise-Ins are family friendly car gatherings open to all years, all makes and models. It's a relaxed format and a chance to share your car with a wide variety of car people during the beautiful New England summer. Trophies are awarded and winners will be featured in Hemmings Motor News! Cruise-ins often are cancelled when rain threatens, so it's a good idea to check or call 800-227-4373 shortly beforehand to be sure the event is still on.


Dorset Theater Festival - June through September


From June to September, the Festival mounts 4 main stage productions, drawing from some of this country's most talented playwrights, actors and directors. Under the recent leadership of Artistic Director Dina Janis, the Festival is changing the landscape of regional theatre. Bold and innovative, Dorset Theatre Festival is garnering accolades for its commitment to new play development and is proud to encourage a new generation of playwrights to test their voices here. We discover new talent. We launch new plays that go on to national acclaim and the lights of Broadway. We mount regional premiers of Tony Award winning plays to bring the best of Off-Broadway to Vermont.


Manchester Music Festival - July through August


Manchester Music Festival welcomes award-winning artists from around the world for seven weeks of concerts in the Green Mountains of Vermont during the summer season. For a complete listing and links to purchase tickets go to


Vermont Summer Festival Horse Show - July through August


Vermont Summer Festival Horse Show. Northern New England’s largest "AA" rated hunter and jumper show. Top riders throughout the United States and Canada compete for prizes and points toward national recognition. July/August. See our events page for specific dates. Located at the Beebe Farm, Route 7A, East Dorset, VT.



Southwestern Vermont Farmers Markets May through October



The Bennington Farmer's Market will be located beside the Walloomsac River walk at the Bennington Station, on the corner of Depot and River Streets, in downtown Bennington, Vermont. Hours: Every Saturday May 7 - October 29, 10am - 1pm, and every Tuesday May 10 - October 25, 3:30 - 5:30pm


The Manchester Farmer's Market will be located at Adam's Park, next to the Chamber of Commerce on Rt. 7A, Manchester Center, Vermont. Hours: Thursdays June 3rd - October 7th, 2pm - 6pm


The Dorset Farmer's Market will be located at H.N. Williams Store on Route 30 in Dorset, Vermont. And October - May they will be located at J.K. Adams. Hours: All Sundays except for Easter Sunday 10am - 2pm.

Revolution and Civil War Tour April - November


This region's Green Mountain Boys and Ethan Allen had significant impact on the victories at Fort Ticonderoga and the Battle of Bennington. Also, Vermont has strong ties to the Lincoln family and sent - and lost - proportionately more soldiers to the Civil War than any other state. Advanced reservations necessary.


The Southern Vermont Sampler Tour May - September


Discover the lure, charm & nostalgia of Vermont's country backroads. Visit & learn about unique places you wouldn't normally find on your own. Many stops along the way, group size 2-10, comfortable tour vehicle, 2 daily tours (morning "History Buff's" tour & afternoon "Southern Vermont Sampler." Advanced reservations necessary.


The Fall Foliage Tour September - October


Fall foliage in Vermont is the pride of our state! Its beauty is unique and unsurpassed. Our tours will take you to mountain/valley vistas of fabulous foliage with a variety of up-close cascades of color. You will get off the beaten path and visit abandoned marble quarries, quaint and unique hamlets, experimental farms, places listed on the National Historic Register, local artisan's studios, a working alpaca plantation, one-of-a-kind general stores, and much more. Advanced reservations are not necessary, but appreciated.


Backroad Merriment Tour November - December


Visit the sweeping mountain/valley vista, international woodworking workshop, the oldest marble quarry in US, rural VT villages, authentic maple sugar shack. Along the way learn about the local area history and sample vt products. Advanced reservations necessary.
